What to include in an update request
Clear messages help us review faster and more accurately. Because court websites and public record portals often change, we need enough detail to compare the page against the official source.
Paste the page on public-court-records.us/ where you saw the problem. If the issue appears on more than one page, include each affected URL.
Tell us whether the issue is a broken link, wrong phone number, old address, outdated map, changed portal name, unclear step, missing disclaimer, or incorrect description.
Whenever possible, include the court, clerk, state judiciary, PACER, county government, or official records page that shows the updated information.
If a portal was replaced, a clerk office moved, phone hours changed, or the court updated its online search process, summarise the change in one or two lines.
When you should contact the official court instead
Many court-record questions cannot be answered by an informational website. If your matter involves legal deadlines, certified copies, identity verification, sealed records, expungement, missing case results, warrants, payment obligations, protective orders, child custody, immigration, housing, employment, or a court appearance, you should contact the official court, clerk, attorney, or appropriate government agency directly.

- Contact the court or your attorney for hearing dates, continuances, orders, legal deadlines, and case-specific interpretation.
- Contact PACER support or the federal clerk for federal record access issues.
- Contact local law enforcement or court security for urgent safety or warrant-related concerns.
