Davidson County court records are divided by clerk and case type
Davidson County is not a simple one-clerk records environment. The Circuit Court Clerk maintains records for the eight Circuit Courts and civil records for the eleven General Sessions Courts. That office also supports Probate Court and the Traffic Violation Bureau.
Criminal Court and General Sessions criminal records use the Criminal Court Clerk. Chancery Court records use the Clerk and Master and the Chancery Information Access system. Juvenile matters use the Juvenile Court Clerk, and many juvenile records are not ordinary public-search records.
