Greene County court records are split across Common Pleas, Probate, Juvenile and Municipal Courts
Greene County court records are not all in one universal database. The Greene County Clerk of Courts preserves civil, felony criminal, domestic relations and District Court of Appeals filings for the Common Pleas system. CourtView is the main online route for those docket records.
Probate records use the Probate Court route. Juvenile records use the Juvenile Court route and may be restricted. Misdemeanor, traffic, small-claims and lower civil matters are usually in Xenia Municipal Court or Fairborn Municipal Court, depending on the location and court named on the ticket, summons or complaint.
Greene County CourtView states that records before 1982 are not available on CourtView 2000.
CourtView states that public record information updates every 24 hours, excluding weekends and legal holidays.
Xenia and Fairborn municipal courts handle local civil matters where the money in dispute does not exceed $15,000.

The best search path depends on the court. Greene County CourtView is the main route for Common Pleas docket records maintained by the Clerk of Courts. Probate records use Probate Court resources. Xenia and Fairborn municipal cases use municipal court tools.

CourtView says to enter Name only or Case Number only, not both. When searching company names, enter the search in Company Name or Last Name, but not both.
CourtView’s notice says case numbers must now be entered in the format YYYY TT SSSS, such as 2012 CR 0111. Do not assume old shorthand formats will work.
CourtView states that information is current as of the previous business day and updates every 24 hours, excluding weekends and legal holidays. Same-day filings or court actions may not display immediately.
Review filing date, court, division, parties, party roles, judge, hearings, motions, orders, judgment, dismissal, sentence, satisfaction, transfer or appeal activity before relying on a record.
Fairborn Municipal Court’s search supports Name/Company, case number, ticket number, hearing date and file date. Xenia Municipal Court users should start from the official city page and public access/CourtView route.
Protection order cases, juvenile records, confidential proceedings, sealed records and certain personal identifiers may be restricted from online viewing.

Online court access is not unlimited. A record may require clerk review, redaction, in-person inspection, proper identification, party status, court authorization or legal process. Do not assume every document in every Greene County case is viewable online.
