Search Union County court records through the correct Ohio court system
Union County has more than one public court-record route. Common Pleas records are searched through the Union County Clerk of Courts, Marysville Municipal Court has a separate CaseLook database, and Probate records follow different online and archive rules depending on when the case was filed.
This guide explains which portal to use, how far each online system goes back, when document images are available, where sensitive records must be viewed, how to search older files, and where Union County appeals and federal cases go.
The main Union County Clerk of Courts search does not cover every local court record
Generally begins January 1, 1990.

The Union County Clerk warns that its electronic public-record service can be affected by update cycles, maintenance and sensitive-information restrictions. Marysville Municipal Court separately warns that its online system can lag filings and judicial actions by at least 24 hours and sometimes longer.

How to complete a Union County court records search

Use Marysville Municipal Court CaseLook for municipal cases
Marysville Municipal Court maintains its own online record search at 1250 West Fifth Street in Marysville. Do not assume that a case missing from the Common Pleas index does not exist.

Send a request to the court or visit during business hours when official verification matters.
Practical municipal name-search tip
The court’s online payment search requires a last name. Its instructions say that when a case is difficult to locate, trying only the last name can reveal all matches with that surname.
Marysville Municipal Court states that its court records are updated on a daily cycle. A missed court date, warrant, license forfeiture or payment eligibility issue can therefore require direct verification with the Clerk.
