Snohomish County Court Records Search: Odyssey, Cases, Dockets & Certified Copies

Find public court information from Everett, Lynnwood, Arlington, Monroe and other Snohomish County communities. Learn which records belong to Superior Court, District Court or a city Municipal Court—and how to request the actual documents when online case information is not enough.

Choose the right system
Superior Court — Odyssey Portal
Documents — Digital Archives or Clerk
District Court — Division record request
City cases — Municipal Court

A statewide name search helps locate a case. It does not replace the official file held by the court.

Independent information only: Public-Court-Records.us is not Snohomish County government, the Superior Court Clerk, Washington Courts or a Consumer Reporting Agency. A matching name, citation, arrest, charge or lawsuit does not establish identity, guilt or liability. Do not use this page for FCRA-regulated employment, housing, credit, insurance or tenant screening.
Quick answer

Where to search Snohomish County court records

Snohomish County has several court-record routes. Odyssey Portal is the main search for publicly available Superior Court case information. Washington Courts offers statewide Case Search and Person Search tools. The Superior Court Clerk provides access to eligible documents through Digital Archives, subscriptions and direct copy requests. District Court and city Municipal Courts maintain their own records.

Important system notice: Official county pages currently carry warnings about statewide court-system technical issues affecting case management, online searches, document access and electronic filing. Do not assume a failed or outdated online search proves a case does not exist. Check the Clerk’s latest notices or contact the office before relying on the system for a deadline or court appearance.

How to search Snohomish County Superior Court in Odyssey Portal

Washington Courts identifies Odyssey Portal as the official public case-search route for Snohomish County Superior Court. Anonymous users can search eligible public case information without subscribing, but ordinary anonymous access does not provide unrestricted court document images.

Open Washington Odyssey Portal
Open the official portal.

Use the courts.wa.gov Odyssey address. Follow any current maintenance or technical notices before beginning.

Choose Smart Search.

The official Odyssey user guide shows a Smart Search interface with search criteria, reCAPTCHA and Advanced Filtering Options.

Enter the most precise case information.

Use the case number when available. If using a party name, compare all plausible results and narrow them with supported filters.

Complete any required verification.

The public Odyssey interface may require reCAPTCHA. Follow the displayed verification instructions.

Verify the court and party role.

Compare the filing date, case number, party names, case type and court details. A common-name match alone is not identity confirmation.

Review case activity.

Look for filed pleadings, hearings, orders, judgments and later docket changes. A complaint or criminal charge is an allegation, not proof.

Use a separate document route.

For public document images, check the Clerk’s Digital Archives instructions or registered Odyssey access. For certified records, contact the Superior Court Clerk.

Technical accuracy: an anonymous Odyssey account is not the same as the Clerk’s paid registered document-access subscription. The portal can display case information without making all filed documents downloadable.
Document access

How to obtain actual Snohomish Superior Court documents

The Superior Court Clerk distinguishes between searching case information and purchasing copies. There are three practical options for public documents: Washington State Digital Archives, paid Odyssey subscription access or a direct Clerk copy request.

Option 1: Digital Archives

Open Digital Archives instructions

After opening:

  1. Follow the link to Snohomish Superior Court’s Digital Archives collection.
  2. Enter the case number for the most precise results.
  3. Alternatively, use Keywords and available date filters.
  4. Choose Show All Records when results appear.
  5. Use the image indicator and View/Download PDF option.
  6. Purchase a copy if you need the complete document.

Option 2: Odyssey subscription

Open subscription information

After opening:

  1. Review the Subscription User Agreement.
  2. Determine the rate based on total company size.
  3. Complete a separate agreement for each user.
  4. Follow the Clerk’s payment and submission instructions.
  5. Access only documents authorized by the assigned user role.
Digital Archives coverage: listed collections include civil, adult criminal, domestic cases from 2004 forward and probate/guardianship. Domestic records before 2004, juvenile offender records, sealed cases and otherwise confidential material are not available through the ordinary Digital Archives route.
Current accuracy warning: the county’s Digital Archives instructions note that technical difficulties may cause the online collection not to reflect the latest case information. For current court status, contact the Clerk rather than assuming an archived image is the most recent filing.

Responsible research

Privacy, court record accuracy and official verification

Snohomish County court records may include allegations, incomplete proceedings, corrected filings or restricted information. A person’s name appearing in a court case does not by itself establish identity, wrongdoing or a criminal conviction.

Do not republish confidential information, harass parties or attempt to bypass sealed-record access restrictions. The appropriate clerk or court is responsible for official copies, corrections and questions involving access or sealing.
